Interview Kickstart (IK) has been at the forefront of helping thousands of tech professionals land their dream jobs at top-tier tech companies like Google, Apple, Facebook, and Netflix. We specialize in preparing candidates for the most challenging tech interviews, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed.


Building on our success in the tech industry and the Technical Product Management category, we are now expanding our expertise to the other Product Management categories. In response to the growing demand from our existing customers, we are launching a new program designed for current PMs and APMs aiming to become Product Marketing Managers and excel in interviews at Tier 1 companies.


At IK, we have always believed in partnering with the brightest minds to develop our solutions. We understand that only experienced practitioners can provide the insights and guidance necessary for aspiring professionals to achieve their goals. We are currently seeking experienced Product Marketing Managers (PMMs) to collaborate with us in creating the most effective curriculum for our new program. Our goal is to ensure that every student who completes this course feels fully competent and confident in cracking the challenging interviews for Product Marketing Manager roles at top-tier companies.


This partnership will outline the responsibilities of the Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will co-create the curriculum with us.

The Product Marketing Manager Interview Prep Course is designed for:

● Current Product Managers looking to advance their careers by joining Tier 1 companies

● Experienced professionals in related fields (eg, Marketing, Product Management) aiming to transition to top PMM roles

● PMM seeking to refine their skills and excel in interviews for senior positions.

Requirements:

● To be an effective Product Marketing Management subject matter expert, the requirements typically include a combination of in-depth product and marketing expertise, teaching experience, and communication skills.

● Should have hands-on experience in any one of the following:

○ Developing Product Positioning and Messaging

○ Go-to-Market Strategy

○ Market Research and Customer Insights

○ Competitive Analysis

○ Crafting Marketing Campaigns

○ Product Launches and Lifecycle Management

○ Metrics and Analytics

● Minimum five years of experience in tier-1 companies in a Product Marketing role

● Preparing engaging and well-structured content on one or more topics listed above

● Ability to simplify complex topics and explain them in an engaging manner

● High levels of empathy to understand the challenges faced by students and willingness to help them out

Responsibilities:

● Curriculum Development:

○ Select appropriate topics and design learning objectives.

○ Be responsible for lesson plan creation, ensuring clarity with topics and flow.

○ Create engaging and well-structured content on one or more topics listed above.

○ Align content with overall learning objectives and industry requirements.

○ Provide students with an excellent hands-on understanding of the topics.

○ Create instructional materials such as lecture slides, assignments, and projects.

● Content Review and Quality Assurance:

○ Evaluate and provide feedback on content created by other SME authors to ensure alignment with the curriculum vision.

○ Work closely with our internal team and external technical reviewers to refine and finalize the curriculum.

○ Ensure the curriculum covers all crucial aspects of interviews at tier 1 companies.

● Instruction Delivery (optional):

○ Conduct lectures, workshops, and interactive sessions.

○ Teach Product Marketing Management principles, frameworks, and methodologies.

○ Use lectures, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and group discussions.

Industry Engagement:

○ Staying current with the latest trends and advancements in Product Marketing Management and related fields.

○ Engaging with industry professionals and collaborating on projects or internships to provide students with real-world experiences.

● Constantly improve the session flow and delivery by working with other instructors, subject matter experts, and the IK team.

● Help the IK team in onboarding and training other instructors and coaches

● Have regular discussions with IK’s curriculum team in evolving the curriculum.

● Should be willing to work on weekends/evenings and be available as per the Indian time zone
