NACE Social Media Coordinator - Part-Time,10 - 15 hours per week

The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for managing and executing NACE’s social media strategy across

various platforms. This position is crucial in amplifying NACE’s digital presence, engaging with the esports

community, and promoting the association's initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about collegiate

esports, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate creativity in content creation.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a social media content calendar aligned with NACE’s objectives and events.
  • Create, curate, and publish engaging content (text, images, videos) for social platforms including, but not
  • limited to, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with the collegiate
  • esports community to foster positive relationships.
  • Track and analyze social media performance metrics, adjusting strategies to improve reach and
  • engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to support promotional campaigns,
  • announcements, and event coverage.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, social media best practices, and emerging platforms to ensure NACE
  • remains at the forefront of digital engagement.
  • Assist with live coverage of NACE events, including competitions, webinars, and conferences, as needed.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in managing social media platforms for a brand, organization, or esports entity.
  • Strong understanding of the esports landscape, particularly within the collegiate space.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics platforms.
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills are a plus (e.g., Canva, Adobe Premiere).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Availability to work approximately 10-15 hours per week, with occasional evenings or weekends for event
  • coverage.



Requirements

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in the esports or gaming industry, especially within a collegiate setting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to travel up to 20 days a year.
